“from MCAS to MTEL” and Back
Do you dig elementary mathematics? Do you like to dig into your own thinking as well as your students? Then this class is for you! In this class we will dig into understanding number and operations, pre-algebra concepts, geometry and measurement as seen through the eyes of students. We will engage in rich problems as a way to make sense and integrate our knowledge and understanding across these topics of elementary mathematics. We will support each other through sense making and problem solving using collaboration and discussion. When you are tired from digging for a deeper understanding a facilitator or fellow student will give you the support you need to continue on digging!
Prerequisite: come the way you are
